You’ve tried many things to help snap you out of how you feel, dread, anxiety, depression, stress… You hold your breath when there is tension. You breath gets shallow when there is fear. All day long your breath is revealing how you are feeling at a deep, deep level.

I help adults who are seeking to heal emotional, mental and spiritual pain or who are looking to expand in their creativity and to see the possibilities by using Conscious Breathwork. In our 60-90 minute session, you will learn how to use your breath, a healing tool that you carry with you every day, to alter your consciousness, release tension or trauma and gain insight along with a deeper connection to yourself. I offer single sessions and 10 session packages as well as hosting groups in my home and in the local area.

Breathwork is not for you if you are experiencing an acute psychiatric episode with Bipolar Disorder or Schizophrenia, have glaucoma, are pregnant or have untreated hypertension.

FAQ About Breathwork

  • Breathwork is a powerful practice that uses your breath as a way to access healing states, release stored emotions and body sensations, and to expand awareness.

  • First we will go over the breath technique and what to expect. Then you will lay dow with an eye mask, blanket and pillow. Music will play as I guide you into a meditation to settle your internal world and open you up to the process. Then the breath will begin and after some time, approximately 30- 45 minutes, your breath will return to it’s normal rate and rhythm and that is where you will continue into a deeply meditative state. After being there for sometime, I will bring you back into awareness and help you ground into presence. There will be sometime after the session to share your insights and process your experience.

  • Breathwork can evoke a wide range of experiences for people. I have had sessions that felt like I was just simply meditating. You may feel tingling in your hands and feet, memories may resurface, and there may be emotional releases such as crying, laughter, or sighing. You may have a profound spiritual experiences - talking with ancestors, spirit guides, past life realizations and more. We trust that whatever comes up, you are ready to process it.

  • The breathwork I facilitate is gentle. There are many kinds of breathwork out there and some of them are rooting in our culture of hustle and grind with the idea that you must breath hard and fast to get somewhere. You get to choose how fast and deep your breath. Your body has an intelligence that needs to be honored, not overridden.

  • Most people feel relaxed, more settled and sometimes more energized. Your heart may feel tender and you will continue to have insights for days after the session. It is important that you hydrate and nourish your body after the session to allow for integration.
